My Story

I can't remember a time in my life that I did not open my front door to the greeting of a four legged companion.  From adopting my sweet Freckles at 10 years old, to the pack of 7 that call me "mom" today; canines have always been a source of wonder and fascination.

Though my passion for animals started at a young age, society has a strange way of dimming some of the lights within us to make room for the more realistic and easily achievable goals. After graduation from college in 2014 I entered into a career as a high school educator. Thinking that working with animals would make a fantastic hobby; I found myself petsitting, training, and grooming around 40 hours a week in addition to my full time teaching career.

This brought to my attention the true need that people have for peace of mind in regards to the care of our four legged family members.  With the pet industry being fairly unregulated, I encountered people every single day that had endured countless instances of poor customer service, less than stellar care standards, and overall dissatisfaction with people claiming to be "pet care professionals".

After a year of balancing both full time jobs, I decided that it was time to change the standard. In 2022 we broke ground on our facility and we have never stopped improving and striving to be the absolute best at what we do.  From a one woman show operating out of her home to a full service boarding facility, 5 staff members, and 2 full time groomers... it's been a wild ride.

We go to work everyday with a mission to set the standard of care for your animals, but more importantly we want you to know that we love your pets just as you do.  Over the last 4 years I have had the opportunity to get to know the very beings that heal your heart and make your family whole, and it is something that I NEVER take for granted.  It is an honor and a privilege to serve families all across North Carolina and Virginia.
